I went to high school with Billy Bauer who graduated from Brooklyn Technical H.S. in 1963 and then graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1967. He was drafted in 1968 and killed in 1969. He was awarded the Bronze Star with a "v" device and an oak leaf cluster. His only sibling, a brother, died of leukemia a few years after Billy's death. His parents are deceased.
