In Honor, Loving Remembrance and Tribute to Francis M. Beverly II.

He was born in the country of Jamaica, came to New York state, and later lived in Alabama where he was finally laid to rest in 1969. He was an athletic, courageous, handsome and very loyal Airborne Pathfinder comrade who was a good friend, and whose best friends just called and knew him as "Bev".

He had voluntarily extended his tour of duty in Viet Nam in order to remain there and protect and serve with his best friend, Lyle Thomas, Jr, because they had been comrades and friends ever since they first met each other in basic training, and continued to be assigned together through their AIT at Ft. Polk, LA, and onward to Jump School and Pathfinder School at Ft. Benning, GA in 1967.

He lived his life and performed his duties up to the highest standards of the Airborne tradition and according to our Pathfinder graduation class motto:

"We Have You Covered, You're In Good Hands!"
