I grieve for your life cut short, opportunities missed, the great suffering your loved ones endured. The ever present question, "only if I were there to prevent your passing". Pray Christ that I'll meet you at Heaven's Gate, as I know you'll be a sentry on duty. With a hand shake you'll say, "Welcome home, brother - come, there are beautiful things to behold". A Note from The Virtual Wall On 09 Sep 1965 three Marines were killed in an engagement near Cau Ha hamlet, about 7 kilometers south-southeast of the newly constructed Marble Mountain airfield. They were Cpl Thomas E. Czzowitz, Butler, PA, D Btry, 3/12 Marines; Cpl Barney E. Boyer, Pleasant Hill, CA, Alpha 1/9 Marines; and Pfc James W. Mahler, Marshfield, MA, Alpha 1/9 Marines.
