60th AHC - Ghostriders

My friend, you were the best gunner out there. I had a drink with you at the Wall. I know you were there, in the dusk. I tried to find your family after the war, to see your child you never saw. But PTS got me and I couldn't do anything . Forgive me. I will never forget us walking down to the aircraft after breakfast, saying our "See you laters". You're flying high now, my friend, you spent your time in hell.

I have not forgotten, I come and visit you a couple times a year and have ever since 1972. I trim the ground back from your marker so it does not hide you from view. Sometimes I bring a couple beers and sit for a couple hours just remembering all the good as well as the hard times we had. I still miss ya a lot. If there was any way for me to take your place I would. You will never be forgotten, old friend, never. Until we meet again sleep in peace.
