A Note from The Virtual Wall The US Naval Forces Vietnam History for February 1970 contains the following entry: "The Naval Air Facility, Cam Ranh Bay, Detachment Ton Son Nhut, reported the crash of a UH-34D helicopter due to unknown causes six miles north of Long Xuyen Airfield. The three crewmembers and six passengers were killed." The accident occurred on 26 Feb 1970 and was the result of a mechanical failure. The nine men killed in the crash were Aircrew, all assigned to NAF Cam Ranh Bay: LT Bernard L. Lefevre, North Hollywood, CA LTJG Henry Hudson, Daly City, CA ADR3 George A.
