As a fellow West Point Classmate of USMA 1963 I fondly recall Steve and his prowess as an outstanding swimmer on the varsity swim team. It is with deep gratitude we are remembering you and all the others who served and died in times of war so that we may enjoy the Freedom and Liberties that make the United States of America great.

Steve was my room mate as a plebe at the Academy. We were a diverse bunch; Steve a good Latter Day Saint, Ken a good Methodist, and I a Catholic. We worked hard together and were all rewarded by graduating together on 5 June 1963. I remember Steve for his enthusiasm as he went to swimming practice and the meets where he did so well. He was always there to help and put on a good face at all times. I always mention him to my friends here in Utah where I live as my friend and classmate. May the good Lord bless and keep him.
