He was my brother, just a normal kid. He had his entire life before him, that was over all too soon.

He loved his family, Detroit, Rock 'n Roll and the Supremes.

Even after all these years, we speak of him every day and continue to mourn him.

He was Peter Pan, and was supposed to live forever.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 24 March 1967 the I Battery, 3/11th Marines, position at Duc Pho received 50 to 60 rounds of mortar fire, resulting in three killed and 14 wounded. The dead Marines were
  • Cpl Gary L. Prekker, Sauk Centre, MN;
  • Pfc Peter G. Cody, Detroit, MI; and
  • Pfc Christian J. Eckerdt, Williamsburg, MI.
