He was smart and loved life. He had hoped to someday to become a teacher because he had so much to give.

Private First Class Billy Cunningham,

died in Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Virginia,
of wounds received in Quang Tri Province.

He was buried on 25 August 1967 in Plot 14 570
Little Rock National Cemetery
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas
in the company of other men of honor, integrity, and courage.
