Gregorio was a Monahans, Texas native. He was drafted into the service at age 24. He was killed by multiple fragmentation wounds on September 21, 1969. He was in his 9th month in Vietnam. He is buried in the Monahans, Texas City Cemetery. He is remembered by the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial located in Midland, Texas.
