A Note from The Virtual Wall The 11th Engineer Battalion Command Chronology for June 1967 contains the following entry: "During the month of June this Battalion suffered three KIAs from enemy Rocket and Mortar attacks; 16 WIAs including three USN Corpsmen; one non-hostile death due to an accidental shooting on an ambush; and 11 non-hostile injuries." The three hostile-fire deaths occurred on 20 June 1967, with three men from Bravo Company killed: LCpl Leslie A. Chamberlain, Windgap, PA Pfc Joseph R. Klug, Wheeling, WV Pfc John W. Schweyher, Irvington, NJ The accidental shooting occurred four days later and cost the life of one Marine from Delta Company: Pfc Harold C. Nye, Lebanon, PA
