We were on a patrol, I called his name and snapped this picture. Hopefully his family will see this. This is "Ted" Cpl Fred Burkett Craddock Jr.

Fred B Craddock


John was born in Jackson Mississippi. He went into the Army at Little Rock Arkansas on 1 June 1966, took his basic and AIT and it is unknown when he started his tour of Vietnam, but with training and leave, it was possible he arrived in Vietnam as early as November 1966. He and three other men of their unit died when they were ambushed 10 kilometers Southwest of Hoi Vuc. The 3 men who were killed in that ambush were:

Surviving him were his parents, Mary E (1927-1979) and Fred Burkett Craddock Sr, Midsway Route, Monticello, Arkansas. He was also survived by a sister, Linda C. McHenry, Monroe, Louisiana. Fred is buried near his mother in Union Ridge Cemetery, Monticello, Drew County, Arkansas.
