A Note from The Virtual Wall

According to Hobson's Vietnam Air Losses F-4D tail number 66-7528, crewed by LtCol C. D. Smith and 1stLt F. M. Driscoll, was hit by 14.5mm AAA fire while attacking a truck park in Laos about 30 miles west of the DMZ. The crew nursed their aircraft back to Ubon RTAFB but crashed on landing. LtCol Smith survived with severe injuries; 1stLt Driscoll died in the crash.
