David and I were in the class of 1964 at Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, SC. He was a big likeable guy and played guard on the football team. His death made me and other fellow classmates realize that what was happening in Viet Nam was for real, and that many of us would have to deal with it in the future. I just wanted him and his family to know that someone still cares and still remembers him and his sacrifice after all these years. Rest in peace, my old friend, and Thank You. |
