I was a small child when Charles "Ronnie" Eggers was killed. He was my cousin and had returned for a second tour of duty. He believed in his mission and devotion to his country. I do not remember much about him except a period of time he was sent home to heal from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He would lay on my grandmother's sofa and would talk about getting better so he could get back to Nam to help out his buddies! I wish there was more I could tell you about this fine young American, but I was just too young to know much about him and what he had accomplished. If anyone should read this and knew Ronnie I would like to hear from you.
