Allan,

I will never forget you. I was so shocked when I heard. It never occurred to me that you would not come back. I have spent many years wondering what would have happened if you had.

We were both so young. I have missed you and the promise of what might have been. Maybe we will meet again. I hope so!

Thirtyfive years and I can still see your face. You will always be with me.

With love and regret, Sharon

I attended junior and senior high school in Belmont with Allan. He was a very nice guy and very eager to be a friend, as he was to me.

Years ago I touched his name on the Memorial. It hurt terribly to know that it meant he had died.

My daughter was in DC last week. She telephoned me from the Memorial to ask the name of the guy I speak about now and then. She searched for him and brought home to me a rubbing of his name. Although painful to see, it means a great deal to me to have it.

Sharon, I do not know you, although maybe I do but have forgotten, but please hear that I am very sorry for your loss. He was a genuinely nice guy.

From a friend,
Frank Ferreira
