Jay Fishbeck and I were buddies at Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida, in 1967 and 1968. He was a fun-loving guy who liked to drive fast in his red Pontiac GTO. He had a girlfriend called Geri who was real cute. He was not a great student and decided to enlist in the Army after we graduated. I never heard from him although years later I heard rumors that he had been killed in Nam. It was during my first visit to the Wall with my wife that we both found that we had friends on the Wall. It was May of 1991 when I first saw Jay's name on the Wall - I took a charcoal rubbing of his name and carry it with me in my briefcase.

You are with God, my friend. I will never forget you.
