A Note from The Virtual Wall

Four US servicemen and one Vietnamese (name unknown) died when their UH-1B Huey (tail number 62-01946) was shot down on 17 January 1964:
  • CW2 William Handsome House, pilot
  • 1LT Charles Martin Hasper, copilot
  • PFC Grover Konard Olson, crew chief
  • PFC Raymond Patrick Flynn, gunner
The US personnel were assigned to the Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV) Unit Training Team.
