I write this in remembrance of a man I only remember as
UNCLE BOBBY

My mom June Rose Miller and other family members ... I remember the last time I saw him was at a church in Monroe, Michigan. I was on his shoulders, very very young, wearing his Army hat. When he left for the war it felt strange, not sure of that feeling until today..

I'm not writing this to upset family I've never even seen yet or don't remember, but to let you and everyone know that some of us may have been young, and thought not to remember how special, not only my Uncle Bobby was but he is remembered by me and my family, to whom I tell his story so that they may do the same as they grow to have families of their own..

I write this not only in memory of Robert Gene Galbreath, but for the memory of my mother June Rose Miller, who passed in January 2002. A great woman who thought so highly of Uncle Bobby she passed his great bravery on to us children, and in the end we all remembered.

Love you always,
Barbara Lynn Howell Brochu

The Huey struck the ground in a nose-high attitude, bounced, struck again in a slightly nose-low attitude, spun around, and burst into flames. The crash was not survivable. Those killed were
