From the First Tank Battalion
After Action Report for 07 May 1968:

At 071245H, an infantry unit was sweeping through a ville at (AT 971546) with tanks from Company B when small arms fire was received. The Tank Commander of the lead tank was struck between the eyes and killed instantly. Fire was returned but enemy casualties are unknown. Friendly casualties were one (1) USMC KIA.
