Dear John,

Although I was but a kid when you were killed, I still remember and talk about you. You were my cousin, and like a brother to me. I remember you sitting me on the handle bars of your bike, and riding me around, through the streets of Brooklyn. And you and your friends hanging out in the schoolyard of P.S. 75 on Menahan street, and hearing you guys sing doo-wop and rock and roll tunes. All these years later, and I've been able to visit your grave recently, with Thomas, your younger brother, now living up in Alaska, with the rest of the family. You are missed, and were my mom's (your Aunt Patty) favorite nephew. Your name still brings her to tears. If there is anyone who knew my cousin, or served with him, I would greatly appreciate you letting me know. I would like to hear from you. There are questions I would like answers to, such as how and where he was killed (aside from what is known, an explosion, hostile fire, and in Quang Tri, South Vietnam) .... my e-mail is ggcid@yahoo.com. I appreciate it highly, and may God bless you, and thank God for bringing you home alive.

Repectfully,
Glenn A. Geier.

ALSO - If anyone has any photos of John Fredrick Greiling in service, please send them to me.

Thank you, and God bless.
