Robert was stationed at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring and was married. He died/body not recovered in a air crash on a C-47. Very little is known of the events. He is remembered by the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial in Big Spring, Texas and by the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Midland, Texas


 

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 25 Oct 1966 two men from the 432nd Tactical Recon Wing at Udorn RTAFB, Thailand, were killed when a Royal Laotian Air Force C-47 (registry RLAF 0398) went down in Laos. No other American military personnel are known to have been aboard the aircraft and no details of the crash are known. The men were
