Mark died on Feb 22,1970, as the result of hostile fire on his helicopter in Kien Hoa, South Vietnam.
He had less than a month to go before rotating back to the States.
I served with Mark.
He was a true friend.
He is still missed.

Mark, you were my uncle that I never met and I am truly sorry I didn't have the opportunity to look up to and admire you. My Mom misses you so very much and still visits you.

Love from your nephew
