Sammy was my uncle and unfortunately was killed in Vietnman before I was born. I felt the need to honor him and all the men and women that died and say thank you. I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him, but I do have pictures and letters that my mom saved as memories to hold on to. It's sad that he was taken so soon and at such a young age from my family but he will always live on in thought.

Sammy was my best friend in the army.
I was with him from the time we were drafted until the end.
I was right behind him the night he was killed.
I remember him often.
