A Note from The Virtual Wall SP4 Robert Ketelaar was one of six men of the 213th Assault Support Helicopter Company who died when their CH-47C (hull number 68-15824) crashed: 1LT Curtis Paul Challberg, pilot WO1 Barrett Chamberland Brown, copilot SP5 Michael Terry Boat, flight engineer SP5 Arthur Harry Johnson, crew chief SP4 Robert Lee Ketelaar, gunner SP4 Moses Iwane Kuahiwinui, Jr., gunner The crash occurred while the CHINOOK crew was conducting a routine aircraft recovery of a USAF O-1E Birddog as a sling load. The O-1E oscillated upwards into the CHINOOK's rear rotor. The CH-47 then entered an inverted dive and crashed, killing all aboard.
