I did not know Bob personally but I knew his siblings, mother and father. His younger brother Brian is a close friend. Just from reminiscences from him and his family gave me wonderful insights to what Bob was really like. In a way it's like having the older brother I never had. I want Bob to know that I will always be grateful for his service to his country and that he is never forgotten.

In memory of Bruce Kraus, Bob's younger brother who passed away last year. Bruce served his country as a U.S Marine in Vietnam.

Their father Henry "Hank" Kraus is no longer with us. He served in the Marines during WWII. I am always grateful and thankful for their service to our country. May God always keep Bob, Bruce and Mr. Kraus in His loving care.

Bob and I "went steady" from our sophomore year in high school until shortly before graduation, when we broke up. He was one of the handsomest guys I have ever met . . . dark brown eyes, brown hair, great cheekbones.

One of the greatest things about Bob was his family. After our break-up, I missed them almost as much as I missed him. They were wonderful people.

Our high school class will have our 45th reunion on June 8 & 9, 2007 in Pittsburgh. It is surprising how few of our classmates died in Vietnam, but, of course, Bob was one of them.

How sad that he died for our country and missed out on all of the things the rest of us have had.

Bob, you are in my thoughts and the thoughts of your classmates.
