I served with SSG G. L. KUVIK in Germany from Jan 59 - Jan 62 while assigned to the 3rd Plt, Co C, 3rd Bn, 35th Armor Group.

This Platoon in 1959-60-61 distinguished itself by becoming the TOP GUN Platoon in the 7th Army. SSG G. L. Kuvik was singled out as an outstanding individual who was selected to attend the 7Th Army N.C.O. Academy at Bad Tolz, Germany, and finished in the top 10 of his Class. His character instilled in others of the Platoon to excel as he did. SSG Kuvik from Private to Sergeant was always first in whatever he set out to do. As a friend and fellow Platoon member of Co C, 3rd Bn, 35th Armor, I truly salute you.

For you gave all.
