Ricky Norman Lowder was a good friend who died too soon in his young life. He died 15 days after his 19th birthday and one day shy of having been in Vietnam for one month. He graduated from South Rowan High School in 1969. The last time we saw him was in early January 1970 before he left for Vietnam. He arrived there on 2/4/70 and died on 3/3/70. He was a good friend and a good guy and a good Marine. Like so many others, he made the ultimate sacrifice. We will always remember him and miss him. Rest in peace, our friend. Semper Fi.

From his friends,
Mike and Jane Deal
