Kenny and I were in High School together. We never dated, but were just good friends. When I think of him, I think of High School and all the good memories that go with it. I sometimes wonder what he would have become had he survived Viet Nam. He was a really terrific guy. I'm proud to call him my friend.

He, like so many others, gave his life very early on in the Viet Nam war. He will be remembered fondly by me and others who knew him back in High School.

I see Kenneth every night in my dreams, I was with him when he died. I lost a best friend that night. He was in my bunk by mistake when he died and I live with that every night. Forgive me, old friend.

From his best friend,
Rick Ballou
