A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 09 Sep 1965 three Marines were killed in an engagement near Cau Ha hamlet, about 7 kilometers south-southeast of the newly constructed Marble Mountain airfield at Danang in Quang Nam Province. They were
  • Cpl Thomas E. Czzowitz, Butler, PA, D Btry, 3/12 Marines;
  • Cpl Barney E. Boyer, Pleasant Hill, CA, Alpha 1/9 Marines; and
  • Pfc James W. Mahler, Marshfield, MA, Alpha 1/9 Marines.
