Chuckie was my boyhood friend. We went to school together through 8th grade at Saint Joseph's School in South Troy. Chuckie was warm, friendly, strong and a good athlete.

Chuckie, we think of you often. We worked to create the Rensselaer County Vietnam Memorial. It stands today on the banks of the Hudson, the river that was 2 blocks from your home.

Those of us still here are a bunch of "old goats", but we remember you and the others who died in Vietnam. You will always be young.

Hoping to hear from someone who served with Chuckie in Vietnam. When he was killed I was in Phu Bai, RVN.

From a friend,
Jim Davey
