My brother was a kind, gentle person and was my best friend. We all miss him. He touched a lot of people and he is giving us an extended family in the Vietnam Vets. |

My brother was the best brother in the world who left here much too early. He was loved by all who met him. He is sadly missed and will never be forgotten. Someday we will be together again. Love and miss you, Joey.

Joseph J. Meyer Jr., "Joey" as his friends called him, was a childhood friend and next door neighbor. Memories of Joey growing up as a playmate are all very special to those of us who knew him. When Joey joined the Marines, I joined the Army, and we were both off to serve in Vietnam. His loss was very hard to accept, knowing exactly what he must have gone through. I have and will always wear his bracelet as a reminder of the high cost of freedom, in which Joey paid the ultimate price. May GOD always hold Joey in his loving hands.
