I was drafted with Richie in November of 1965. A group of us from New York State took our basic and infantry training together, then we all shipped out on the USS POPE to Nam. We were stationed in Pleiku at the Oasis. I knew Rich about a year. To his family and friends I want them to know he died a hero. He was a great friend and respected by all who served with him. He along with others died too young. Rich is not forgotten. He lives in the memories of his war buddies. Not a day goes by that I don't think of Richie, and the rest of the guys from our company. May God bless him.

Till we all meet again, Richie.
You are not forgotten.
