Daniel Lee McKechnie, a fallen hero to all members of the company. This picture was taken on 11/24/68, the 3rd Platoon was celebrating his birthday shortly after we came in from the field that day. The following day Dan and one of his brothers was killed. We miss him, and we all think of him often. He was learning to play the guitar and kept us entertained.
