Dear Uncle Anthony, I know in my heart, although you are no longer here with me you have been so helpful in helping me to locate some of your buddies with whom you served while in Vietnam. Over the last three years I have come in contact with four people who knew you and they have been helping me to know you better and we are hoping to locate more. You are a very special person in my life and you have a special place in my heart. I only wish that you were here with me today, but knowing that you are with the rest of the family eases my heart and one day we will all be together once again.
With all my love always, Dear Uncle Anthony, Today is Memorial Day 2003 and it has been many years since you have been taken from us but you are in my heart every day, today especially. My heart is heavy for all the families who have lost their loved ones either by death or when they came back they weren't the same person who had left them. Your friend Joe Maples had your Saint Christophers Medal with him for over 35 years and he has given this to me, I can't tell you how much that has meant to me. I know that you are with me and will watch over us always. My love for you will never die. Love,

Tony, As you know I was with you on that day, 9 Jan 1967 on Highway B-1 or B-6 when God called you home to him. Over the many years that have passed since I last saw you on that day, I have thought of you countless times and prayed for you just as many times. My voice was the last human voice that you ever heard and that will be on my heart for the rest of my life. Of all of the soldiers that I have met throughout my 30 years of service in the Army, I would have to say that you were one of the most dedicated, professional, outstanding soldiers I have ever known. We talked a lot together about our life and families and what our hopes and dreams were. I don't know if I will never know why God spared me that day, but I do know that God took one of the BEST, and of course He only takes the best. May God always hold your hand and watch over your family and especially Maryann your niece who loves and misses you very much. Thank You, Tony, for your friendship.
