John Moody was a wonderful son and brother. He was our baby brother and loved deeply by us sisters. He loved playing baseball for Norlina High School and he also believed in what he was doing in Vietnam. When we sent him boxes of "goodies" from home, he shared them with the children that he met. He spent his 21st birthday in Vietnam and sent us a picture of a cupcake with a candle.

Our lives have forever been changed by our loss but he is remembered every day. We are thankful for the years we had.

From Ecclesiastes in the Bible, we have learned that there is a season for everything. There is time for mourning, but there is also a time of remembering. Our memories of "Shorty" as we called John will forever be in our hearts and will stay until we meet again.
