Dean was a career soldier from Big Spring, Texas. He was an ordnance specalist and he had been in the Army for 10 years. He was killed on 11-22-67 and his body was not identified for several days. He was married and is remembered by the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial and the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Midland, Texas. May his sacrifice not be forgotten.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

The 191st Ordnance Battalion lost two demolitions experts on 22 Nov 1967, presumably while attempting to defuse an enemy device:
  • SP6 Paul B. McKinley, Copperas Cove, TX, and
  • SP5 Dean Moore, Big Spring, TX.
