Carl P Morrison

SP4 CARL PHILLIP MORRISON

15 Nov 2001

Carl was born in Detroit, Michigan. Grew up in Bonita, LA, and graduated from Union High School in Mer Rouge, LA. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1967 and worked at Nunn Bush Shoes and A.O. Smith. He joined the Army in April '68 with Basic Training at Fort Poke, LA.

Carl was a fun loving person. We all love him and will keep him in our memory. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Pittman; 3 sisters, Brenda, Regina, and Pamela; 2 brothers, Trent and Bryant; his father, Phillip Morrison, his grandmother, Cora, and many friends.

He was on a hostile combat mission near Phan Tiet, Vietnam. He was 19. He was killed on April 19, 1969 in mid-morning. God bless him.

From his mother,
Geraldine Pittman

I was in Carl's Platoon in Vietnam, and arrived in country at about the same time. He was in one of the machine gun squads as was I. He was the only one we lost in our platoon the year I was there. He was much too young to be lost! I often think and pray for Carl, and wonder of his Family and final resting place.
