I am a niece of John Boyd Parker ... my Daddy, Bobby Ray Parker, was his only brother. I was only 5 years old when my uncle Johnny was killed in Vietnam, but my memories are vivid. This was the first time I ever saw my Daddy cry. He loved his brother so much and tried to his best ability to keep in touch and care for Johnny's wife and son. My Daddy went to join his brother and other family members on May 23, 2006. My only comfort is in knowing he is with the brother he missed so much. My Daddy's family was so very close and I know all those who have gone before him were ecstatic to see him upon his arrival ... but especially his little brother Johnny. May God Bless and keep you all!
