Theus Joseph Pound was known by his family and friends as "Jody". He was a very well liked individual and was a good Christian example for those he came in contact with. He was my Uncle. I was born in 1971 so I never got to meet him. I have heard stories of him my entire life. My grandmother (his mom) passed away in 2005 and I know that she is celebrating with him and his dad now in Heaven. I wish that I would have been able to meet him. He impacted so many lives in the small town that we came from. He was a great example of kindness and what it means to walk with the Lord. Thank you all for remembering him and all the others who gave the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless.

You are not forgotten. We remember you and thank God for you on this Memorial Day. We are saddened by, but grateful for, the sacrifice you and so many others made to seek freedom for fellow human beings. I am honored to call you family.

With much love and admiration,
Noel

I ran across this website by accident. I am a fifth grade teacher in Sandy Run, S. C. As I was teaching my Social Studies class, I looked up the Vietnam Memorial wall and happened to see this site to find names.

Jody Pound was my dear cousin. His little sister and I went to school together. I have the fondest memories of Jody, with his ever-present smile and willingness to help anyone. He gave me a ride home one day, just like I was his peer instead of a Junior High girl. I remember how much his mom loved that black Mustang of his. I think it was a 1965 model. I will never forget Jody as his memory will always be with me in my heart. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
