The following article is taken from The Philadelphia Daily News, special supplement entitled 'SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY,' October 26, 1987.

The 1964 graduate of Overbrook High School joined the Marine Corps in January 1966. The 19-year-old private first class, a machine gunner in Company C of the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, died in Da Nang, Quang Nam Province, Viet Nam, on September 13, 1966. He was survived by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
