John, I have missed you so much. I think of you often and I get so angry that you can't be here with me. I remember the nights we spent on guard duty, we solved the world's problems and listened to the Assocation album. I miss you and love you. I wish you had made it out. I guess I'll see you eventually.

Love, Kevin

We were young warriors together. We lost four of our brothers: you, Mike Dingus, Rocky Rockenstyre and Sgt. Cullen. There is not a day where I don't think of you four, who never had a chance to marry, have children and grow old. I hope to see you someday in heaven guarding the golden streets...

Lest we forget.

Your buddy,
Steve Unzueta

John,
We were young warriors once. We were in the same fire team in CAP Bravo-3. I should have been with you the night of your demise, but Cpl. Dingus and I switched duties so that he could break in a new guy on the radio. Someday I hope to see you all guarding the golden streets of heaven. Your buddy "Surf"

Lest we forget,

Steve Unzueta
