The following article is taken from The Philadelphia Daily News, special supplement entitled 'SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY,' October 26, 1987.

Scott, a 21-year-old amphibious tractor crewman, was assigned to Company B of the 3rd Amphibious Tractor Battalion, 1st Marine Division, in Viet Nam. He died on October 25, 1968, in Quang Nam Province, Viet Nam, when the landing vehicle in which he was riding hit an enemy land mine. Survivors included his mother.
