Cpl. Lawrence E. Sirois' nickname was "Bucket". To this day I still don't know why. To me he was my cousin Larry. He was handsome and had quite a personality. The gift ran in the family. When I visited with my cousins they would have me play sports games upstairs or out in the backyard. Always let me win. Kind, full of hell and lots of laughs. He was killed on November 24, 1968. Operation Meade River in the Dodge City area south of Danang, Quang Nam. It was devastating for his family. I can still hear Taps being played and the gun salute like it was yesterday. We all went on with our lives, but it would have been a better world if Bucket were still here with us.

Love you and miss you,
