14 Nov 2003 What may we say about a fallen hero? We know you protected those that served under you. I was deeply affected by your death. A two-tour short timer ready to go home. That morning is etched in memory. I was supposed to reenlist that day and get my 3rd Chevron. But, with the death of a friend, the war and the Corps lost the attraction for me. I've often wondered over the years how we two friends and "Sergeants" would have fared? We had some good times and a couple of bad ones too. But we were friends and comrades in arms and I miss that. We sure had some good times and we had our bad times, but you were the greatest brother and I loved you so very much. I will cherish the memories of you forever and always.
