SP/4 Sprinkle. I'm sorry I only met you after your death on the battlefield. I could tell by the reactions of your fellow LRRPs that you were well respected and liked. I'm proud we got you home.

Paying tribute to a fallen 1st Cavalry hero,
with a multitude of thanks for his service to our country.
Thomas Sprinkle, you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
by the sister of another young hero with the 1st Cavalry,
who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam. KIA-1967

"They shall not grow old,
as we that are left behind grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them..."
- from "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon -
