Some of us in Viet Nam had nicknames. Encarnacion was always called "Shawn". It is amazing how time flies when we get older but the feeling of Nam will always remain. Shawn and I spend some time together and we got real close. We shared our feelings about being away from home and what was happening at home. We were in the same squad. Shawn was a brother you could talk to about anything. Even though we were in Nam for a short time, it seemed that we had been friends for years. Shawn will be missed by many friends but I will always remember the fun we had for a little while and a comrade that I will always remember.
