I am his granddaughter Katie and I want him to be remembered in history. He died before I was born so I don't know much about him and most people don't talk about him much - it seems to still be too painful. He was in the United States Marine Corps. When he died he left behind a wife and a 5 month old son. He had a sister who loved him very much. The day he died he seemed to know that his time was coming but he did get to see his son once before he died. That's all I know and I'm very sorry to anybody who reads this. If you know anything more if you can find a way to add it you're more than welcome to as long as it's the truth. Something I do know though is that he looked out for those he loved. I have always felt close to him and looked at him as my guardian angel. Many people loved him and I am certainly no exception. He will always be remembered in history.

"If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines."
Final verse, Marine Corps Hymn

From his granddaughter,
Katie Smith
