A Note from The Virtual Wall

Four men of B Company, 25th Aviation Battalion, were killed when their UH-1C Huey gunship (tail number 66-15085) was shot down south of Cu Chi:
  • WO1 Allan Emile Stahlstrom, pilot and aircraft commander
  • WO1 Roy Stephen Thomas, copilot
  • SP5 Marcus Randolph Byous, crew chief
  • SP4 Paul Norman Kupchinskas, gunner
The DoD Casualty Database incorrectly identifies WO Stahlstrom's Home of Record as Markham, Texas, but he actually lived on Markham Street in Portland, Texas, just across the river from Corpus Christi, and entered the military from there. While The Virtual Wall has corrected our information, other sites no doubt will continue to reflect his HoR as Markham.
