Karl M Waldron Jr is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, panel 39E line 55.
My father flew fighter planes in WWII as wingman to a man I came to know as my "Uncle Waldo", Karl Merritt Waldron Jr. He couldn't resist the urge to fly once more so he joined up again in 1967. Although he was 47 years of age, the Air Force assigned him to pilot AC-47 gunships. He was KIA on 2.15.68. This is all I know.
