Ricky Fay Adams was survived by his mother Elizabeth Helen (Houchins) (1922-2000), father Lloyd Ardell Adams (1918-1972), sister Mrs. Annette (Clinton) McKetrick, and five brothers Scott (1940-1991), James, Dennis, Larry, and Steven. Ricky and his parents are all buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. His brother Scott was cremated.
